The Mysterious Melody is the debut children’s book by new author SP K-Mushambi.
What is the sound that wakes them up in the morning? Can twins Naniso and Shinga find the source of The Mysterious Melody?
This is a story about 2 ordinary twins who have an extraordinary adventure, meet some unexpected friends, and find out who they really are. They find that all the stories that their parents tell them about growing up in Zimbabwe are more than just stories, and maybe they can make a major difference!
If you know any children, aged 7-11, who are interested in learning a little bit more about Zimbabwe or Africa, and maybe a little bit of the Shona language as well, then this book is for them!
The Mysterious Melody is now available from Amazon.co.uk at https://tinyurl.com/nanisobook. See the trailer for the book below.
About the Author
SP K-Mushambi is happiest when she is creating. It could be writing a song, baking a yummy cake or inventing her own version of the latest dance craze (which according to reliable sources means she is doing it all wrong). She enjoys getting to know different cultures and how they are related to her own heritage.
Born in England and raised in Zimbabwe, she has had a career in banking and corporate treasury which spans over twenty years. She lives in Berkshire with her husband and their two daughters.
The book is based on the author’s experience of raising a family in what is commonly called the Zimbabwean diaspora. It shares with the next generation some of the stories and culture and history that the author and so many others took for granted as they grew up.
