About the Author

SP K-Mushambi is happiest when she is creating. It could be writing a song, baking a yummy cake or inventing her own version of the latest dance craze (which according to reliable sources means she is doing it all wrong). She enjoys getting to know different cultures and how they are related to her own heritage.
Born in England and raised in Zimbabwe, she has had a career in banking and corporate treasury which spans over twenty years. She lives in Berkshire with her husband and their two daughters.
The book is based on the author’s experience of raising a family in what is commonly called the Zimbabwean diaspora. It shares with the next generation some of the stories and culture and history that the author and so many others took for granted as they grew up.
About the Illustrator
The amazing illustrations in the book are by Kudzai Ngundu and Andrew Mandaza, who are based in Zimbabwe.
